Rising Long Term Care Leader (AIT) Scholarship Application

Application Deadline: April 30 (5:00 p.m. EST)

This is a $1,500 scholarship award. Up to 30 scholarships may be awarded in a calendar year.

Florida Health Care Association recognizes that delivering high quality of care and quality of life to residents in a skilled nursing center begins with a dedicated leader. Strong leaders are developed through quality education and mentorship programs, such as the Administrator in Training (AIT) program. Many AIT programs are unpaid however, making it difficult for the individual to complete their program timely and/or cover the costs of materials and sitting for the NHA licensure exam.

FHCA’s Rising Long Term Care Leader Scholarship will provide financial assistance to individuals completing an Administrator in Training (AIT) program in a Florida Health Care Association member nursing center. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,500. Applicants must affirm they are completing the AIT in an FHCA member nursing center under a licensed Preceptor and be a student member of FHCA. A demonstration of financial need, two letters of recommendation (including one from the individual’s Preceptor) and a resume are required to apply for the Rising LTC Leader Scholarship.
