Rising Long Term Care Leader (AIT) Scholarship Application

Application Deadline: April 30 (5:00 p.m. EST)

This is a $1,500 scholarship award.

Florida Health Care Association recognizes that delivering high quality of care and quality of life to residents in a skilled nursing center begins with a dedicated leader. Strong leaders are developed through quality education and mentorship programs, such as the Administrator in Training (AIT) program. Many AIT programs are unpaid however, making it difficult for the individual to complete their program timely and/or cover the costs of materials and sitting for the NHA licensure exam.

FHCA’s Rising Long Term Care Leader Scholarship will provide financial assistance to individuals completing an Administrator in Training (AIT) program in a Florida Health Care Association member nursing center. Scholarships are awarded in the amount of $1,500.

Applicants must:

  • Affirm they are completing or have completed the AIT program in an FHCA member nursing center under a licensed Preceptor
  • If the applicant is not an employee of the FHCA member nursing center, then he/she must become a student member of FHCA
  • Submit an essay outlining your long term care experience, short/long term career goals and demonstration of financial need
  • Provide two letters of recommendation (including one from the individual’s Preceptor)

This scholarship was established with funds from Florida Community Care | Florida Complete Care. Today, this scholarship is funded by generous donors and proceeds raised from the FHCA annual Golf Tournament.
